What can be framed?
Over our 24 years in business, we have framed countless things – from standard photographs, artworks and medals, to sports memorabilia, certificates and awards, commemorative pieces, New Guinea headdresses, jackets, football jerseys, cross-stitch, and tapestries. We’re well known for the fact that there’s nothing we won’t frame.
Does VIP offer custom work?
Here at VIP we can do almost anything to custom size. A customer can come along and buy timber in lengths, or have it cut to the ideal size. Glass can be bought individually, along with mats and backing – all material is sourced to our store and we are able to guide you through the process. See our Custom Framing page.
How long does framing take?
Our turnover for framing is between 7-14 working days. We consider emergencies highly – so please contact us if you have a deadline to meet.
Is all work done in-house?
To prevent damage to your articles, all the work is done here on the premises. Safety always comes first.
What materials are used?
We offer three types of glass, which are Conservation glass, Clarity glass, and Standard glass. Standard and Acid-free mat board is available. Frames can be made custom, or your articles can be block mounted on craft wood. We also only use quality laminate.
VIP uses high-quality Epson pigment ink, designed to last 45-60 years, verified by light testing.
Contact us about our varieties of photographic paper – luster paper is used for most prints, has the highest clarity and a low gloss. Mat paper is available and has a unique non-reflective finish, and gloss paper can also be a great choice with a high shine and reflective quality.
