How Do You Print An Image?
Have you ever walked into a house, office, or gallery and seen a stunning, crisp photographic print and fallen in love? You’ve probably wondered if this is possible with your own photos. The answer to this is yes. At VIP, we have the equipment to print your photographs, artwork or any still visual media onto high-quality photographic paper. There are several options to consider, and we can complement any print with a series of options suited to you.
Photographic Print Paper
Your first option comes in the way of types of paper, and their different strengths to showcase an image. Lustre paper is the standard option, with an understated gloss, incredible clarity and refined surface – but consider the details of your print. Is it bright, bold and rich with colour? If so, gloss paper can bring the absolute best out of the image, creating a striking contrast that shines as the viewer moves. Old antique photographs can look stunning in high-quality matte paper, which is low-shine, and works well to display minute or blurred details that are common in vintage photography, and especially in sepia-toned or black and white photography.
High-quality printing can also be achieved on canvas, whether stretched or framed, for that art gallery look – the visual texture and tactile feel of canvas elevates any photograph or artwork to a professional standard, and brings presence to any room.
Ink
VIP always strives to deliver the utmost visual crispness and longevity through the materials we use, and ink is no exception. High-quality, concentrated Epson pigment inks are crucial to a professional finish, age better when exposed to common environmental factors such as UV rays and humidity and will do your prints justice for years to come. Make the best out of your Epson ink print with a custom frame – when protected adequately, prints made with high-quality inks can last up to 60 years or more.
Size
VIP has the equipment in-shop to produce high-quality, beautiful prints up to a metre wide and three metres long. Make your print a centrepiece in a room – whether a photograph, vintage poster or piece of artwork. Prints can be made very small or very large depending on the needs of the customer. If you’re having trouble deciding, our friendly staff are more than happy to speak to you about your print, and other options, such as framing, complimenting the details of the print and materials used.
